Permit Information

 

Steps to obtain a Fort Cavazos Recreation Permit:

Step 1:   Create Your iSportsman Account

If you do not already have an iSportsman account, register in iSportsman by clicking the “My Account” tab and select “Register” to complete the registration form and submit. Click here for the iSportsman User Guide.

• NOTE: Be sure to carefully select the correct CUSTOMER TYPE. Failure to select correctly may result in some permits being unavailable for purchase. Do NOT create a another account; contact Natural Resources to resolve errors.

Step 2:   Review the Fort Cavazos UXO Safety Brief

Log into your iSportsman account and complete the UXO Safety Briefing.

• All adults and minors are required to take the UXO Safety Brief video and pass the quiz.

Note: Users are required to take the UXO Safety Briefing each year in order to acquire a Fort Cavazos recreation permit.

Step 3: Purchase Desired Permits 

Click on “Acquire Permit(s)” on the homepage of your iSportsman account.  Add permit(s) to the shopping cart and purchase permits.  After successfully purchasing permits, your permit #, a list of active permits and the option to “Print Permit” will all appear on the homepage of your iSportsman account. 

• Individuals who purchase a hunting or fishing permit do NOT need to purchase a general recreation permit, as general recreation activities are authorized with the hunting and fishing permits. 
• Hunters that have a disability, may purchase a Disabled Hunting Permit in iSportsman. The hunter has 7 calendar days from purchase of permit to provide proof of disability to the DPW NCRMB (in-person at Bldg. 1939 or via email: usarmy.cavazos.id-readiness.mbx.dpw-isportsman@army.mil).

Note: All sales are final and non- refundable. Remember, you are responsible to possess a valid state hunting and/or fishing license and know and abide by all state hunting and fishing regulations as well as Fort Cavazos regulations.

Step 4:   Print Your Permit and Vehicle Range Pass

Note: For users with multiple vehicles, the vehicle selected as "default" will print with your permit.  To print a vehicle range pass for an additional, you must select the desired vehicle as your new default and then reprint the permit and vehicle range pass.
